I finally got a new laptop to work on. So now I can work while kind of watching television. Tonight was Breaking Bad night. It’s a great new show on AMC about a high school chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with lung cancer. He ends up becoming a meth cooker in order to make a lot of cash so his pregnant wife and son will have enough to live off after he dies. The show is full of unsavory characters that you would expect to find dealing with meth. Don’t want to  give away too much, but it is a good show.

I’ve been doing some graphics for Scott Brookman. He is getting his new cd produced and asked me to redo the design for print. He wanted the design to be very child-like overall. We used an old coffee mug from the sixties for the sunset/flower cover. The back cover includes a fun monster drawn buy his daughter. I think the look goes well with his music, which draws inspiration from 60’s and 70’s pop.

Now that the web 2.0 has taken off, everyone has a voice. Bloggers have come out of the woodwork and are fighting for attention. Why should I blog?  I have resisted the call, mostly because I have little to say. I also must admit, that I get bored rather easily. So what I blog about will probably jump all over the place. In fact, I’m not sure where this blog will go. It may include some useful information for design, art or web culture or it may just be a place for me to post funny links. Sometimes humor and creativity go hand in hand.

A good friend of mine recently sent me a book *How to be a Rockstar WordPress Designer*. I intend to go through and refine my site as I progress.
